Celebrating the Art of Japanese Watchmaking, Grand Seiko Unveils New Timepieces
01 April 2025 – Grand Seiko introduces another three new timepieces at Watches and Wonders Geneva 2025, each reflecting the brand’s enduring commitment to precision, craftsmanship, and the beauty of Japanese aesthetics. These new creations are from the Masterpiece, Heritage, and Evolution 9 Collections, showcasing the range and depth of Grand Seiko and a testament to the brand-where nature-inspired design, craftmanship, and a constant pursuit of excellence come together and expresses the Nature of Time through every detail.
From the Masterpiece Collection comes the Spring Drive 8-Day Jewellery – the SBGD223, a limited edition of only eight pieces. Powerfully elegant, this radiant creation features a jet-black dial inspired by the lion’s mane and set with over 600 meticulously placed diamonds and black spinels. Housed in Platinum 950 with Grand Seiko’s first-ever pavé setting, it is powered by the 9R01 Spring Drive movement, offering an extraordinary eight-day power reserve.
The Heritage Collection introduces a fresh interpretation of the 44GS design – the SBGW323 with its soft purple dial, inspired by the kiri flower and the Iwate region in spring, blends traditional aesthetics with refined simplicity. Powered by the Caliber 9S64 manual-winding movement, this timepiece delivers a 72-hour power reserve, all encased in stainless steel with proportions that offer timeless appeal. And from the Evolution 9 Collection—the SLGC007 Tentagraph, Grand Seiko’s next-generation mechanical chronograph. Inspired by Mount Iwate’s winter landscape, its snow-blue dial features layered textures and contrasting black sub-dials for a stunning legibility. Powered by the high-beat Caliber 9SC5, with a 72-hour power reserve, and housed in high-intensity titanium, the Tentagraph is a bold expression of technical innovation and timeless design.

The SBGW323 and SLGC007 creations will be available at Grand Seiko Boutiques and select retailers from May 2025 while the SBGD223, a limited edition of 8 pieces and will also be available at selected Grand Seiko Boutiques in May 2025.
